Ruth trained at Eastbourne College of Art and West Surrey College of Art & Design where she gained a degree in printed textiles. Having settled on the Surrey Hampshire border she worked with fabric for some years before returning to painting. She exhibits widely and participates in Surrey Artists Open Studios.
